The kitchen floorplan has now been finalised. I already knew what I wanted but had to get it exact. The plumber will need it so the pipes end up exactly where they need to be. I'm going to go to the house tomorrow and draw where the fittings need to go with chalk.
I have no idea what I'm doing and there's only so many times I can keep hassling my parents and sister to have my hand held. Thankfully a friend sent me photos of her similarly sized kitchen which helped with the reality of things. I know her kitchen and I've used the space. Good to know the dishwasher must be beside the sink, the stove can't be too near the fridge etc etc.
Here's a quick 3D of the plan- ignore all the colours and the wall cabinets- they can be decided later. The sink drain thing will go over the dishwasher and the microwave will either go on top of the fridge, or left of the oven. The pantry will be formed by shallow cupboards on the opposite wall.
Next to do the bathroom... later.
Four months and 10 days since you got your keys...All things considered, you are doing very well :)

Deletelooking good four months and twenty one days to go, Baby xx
ReplyDeleteImpressive! However, I suggest having the microwave and fridge moved to another place. Placing them near the dishwasher might get both appliances wet. By the way, what pipes are you planning to use? I'd like to suggest brass pipe products. They are very reliable because of its high tolerance.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that deciding on where to place the sink and the stove can be this hard! Good thing you have a friend that almost has the same sized of kitchen as you have. At least it gave you an idea. Anyway, the 3D plan is a nice way to see if what you like fits in or not. -> Robbie @ TNTGranite.ca
