Painting

Painting, painting and painting so the skirtings and flooring can go in.  

The tiler has also finished and it looks soooo good! Only problem is with the lights off in the bathroom, they look flat black. Which I avoided due to black tiles being very hard to keep clean. Oh well. Photos will be revealed when the bathroom is more complete! 

The kitchen has been designed and ordered! Won't unfortunately be ready until end of January now thanks to the Christmas rush. Ooh I love the design.

The only annoying thing about such tall ceilings will be the renovating, after that, it's all good. 

Tonight I was painting until about 9:30pm while the tiler was working and I got a phone call from a concerned neighbour saying there was commotion in my house. Good to see Neighbourhood Watch is working! 

I want just to be modern and just have plain white walls. I bought Taubmans Crisp White which turned out to be too stark - like an undercoat. So my folks gave me Taubmans Milk Cloud which turned out to be a creamy white.. UGH 

I then proceeded to buy a sample pot of Dulux Whisper White  (thanks for the tip Maiki)  and it is finally just right. I'd obviously prefer purple but anyway.

I had a visit from my friend (sister!) Bronwyn who is 26 weeks pregnant. No surprise that we were basically wearing the same thing.  My head is bursting with good ideas and inspiration thanks to her visit. The ultimate creative oracle!

I will definitely be using this site when I'm ready to decorate. I've already had fun with their visual editor as above. 

We said goodbye to Nan this week then afterwards had an informal wake at the family farm. It was a great couple of days despite the circumstances.
