It's like that, and that's the way it is

Everything is now waiting on the electricity to be connected.
The electricity mainframe people said they can't connect such an unsafe house to the grid. Whatever, if I was in Bali they'd let me do it!!! :P

Time to break out the Project Management skillz

Current things waiting on electricity:

  • Rear roller door - can't drill through concrete without a concrete cutter (Harness neighbour's powerrr?) - can't park my car off the street until this is done.
  • Restumping - they need electrical tools etc for this. Cannot put floors down until restumping is done.

In order to get electricity:

  • Need to fix the barge board where the "point of attachment" from street should go
  • Need to go to Bunnings to get roof barge boards then call a carpenter to be able to do the above
  • Need to get an electrician to install some sort of fuseboard inside the front door with a temporary power point
  • Need to get an Electricity Inspector to sign it off
  • Then need to give signed off documents to mainframe people to reconnect to the street!
  • Once initial renos are done, the house can then be wired up

Wish I didn't have such delays, but reno chains: It's like that, and that's the way it is.
