The electricity mainframe people said they can't connect such an unsafe house to the grid. Whatever, if I was in Bali they'd let me do it!!! :P
Time to break out the Project Management skillz
Current things waiting on electricity:
- Rear roller door - can't drill through concrete without a concrete cutter (Harness neighbour's powerrr?) - can't park my car off the street until this is done.
- Restumping - they need electrical tools etc for this. Cannot put floors down until restumping is done.
In order to get electricity:
- Need to fix the barge board where the "point of attachment" from street should go
- Need to go to Bunnings to get roof barge boards then call a carpenter to be able to do the above
- Need to get an electrician to install some sort of fuseboard inside the front door with a temporary power point
- Need to get an Electricity Inspector to sign it off
- Then need to give signed off documents to mainframe people to reconnect to the street!
- Once initial renos are done, the house can then be wired up
Wish I didn't have such delays, but reno chains: It's like that, and that's the way it is.
Haha pffft the nanny state hey?! Bloody regulate everything ;)
