Free snacks

The only progress in the last week is various chats with tradies - all helping build the picture of how things are going to fit together. All walls are down and there's not much else I can do in the meantime.

An (excellent, personable, on time) electrician said that I will need to get a builders pole in the front garden, not a generator, as there is so so much work that has to be done before the point of getting the electricity reconnected to the top of the house. A builders pole is a temporary place with power points where you can have electricity attached from the street. This was the original plan but we were trying to avoid having to twice pay to get it connected from the street.

Can you believe that all the work so far has been done with one simple tool - a crowbar. It seems to have an angle fit for every purpose.

I found an avocado in the back garden and I thought "who threw this in" as I put it in the bin. Then the next day I found another avocado and was like "SOMEONE IS 'AVIN A LARF. Who is throwing rubbish over the fence?"  Then Kate came over: "um Caroline... you have an avocado tree in your garden." Quite pleasing - free avocados!
