No kitchen no problem
OK I don't want to turn this in to a food blog but I'm an avid reader of the wonderful Footscray Food Blog which gives me inspiration to work harder and get settled. I'm happy to move in without a kitchen if it means I can just eat the following:
Zingy Cucumber Salad and Panfried Vegetable Dumplings from Mandarin Dumpling Restaurant - about a 120 second walk from my house depending on how hungry you are and if you ignore the little red man and run across the road in front of trucks.
Hi Caroline....as a food obsessed person ,I love the cucumber and dumpling picture...order One for me! Are you friendly with your neighbours...you could always swing by with a plate ! Hope you can move in soon....love from Alison xxxx
ReplyDeleteYeah the neighbours have continued to be very kind - often bringing a plate over - they recently brought over some brownies!! Kate also made some orange fudge and brought that over too. The workers certainly have been spoiled!
DeleteIt lovely to read about human kindness,I think there is no better way than to express it with food.I have made a batch of sultana scones...if I was in Melbourne ..... we could have a nice cuppa tea together, but alas I'm not...continuing to be so very proud of you and your achievements...love from your Hatfield family in it xxxxx (Alison)
